I see so many capable, smart people who keep delaying their progress.
And as someone who has been on the same journey, I know where that fear and worry come from.
You're not wrong to feel that way. Our minds are hardwired to protect us from harm.
They are constantly scanning for risk, even in situations that aren't life-threatening.
If I could go back and give my younger self advice before building digital assets and earning online income, this is what I’d say โคต๏ธ
1๏ธโฃ Your number of followers doesn't really matter.
First, stop chasing followers count.
What matters isn't the size of your crowd, it's getting your content seen by the right people - the ones who actually want to buy from you.
There are a lot of social media accounts out there with more than 10k followers, but they have no idea how to monetize.
If you are already thinking of a product, you're off to a good start!
2๏ธโฃ Get out of your niche bubble.
Second, to attract the right people (YOUR people), you have to get out of your niche bubble.
I rarely follow creators in my own niche. Why? Because it’s too easy to start copying them without realizing it.
To write unique, in-depth content that stands out to your ideal audience, you need to go beyond surface-level reading:
๐ Stop parroting. Don't just repeat quotes everyone else uses. You need to think THROUGH every ideas you encounter.
๐ Diversify your reading. Look beyond basic marketing books. Pull ideas from different fields and find connections between them.
๐ Reflect on what you read. Journal your thoughts before you post.
"Depth" comes from real-world experience, practice, and when we're fully absorbed in the material. That’s how you write pieces that are worth reading and sharing.
3๏ธโฃ Immediate ROI helps you stay motivated.
Third, once you have original ideas, don't just hoard them. Demand immediate ROI.
One of the reasons why so many beginners get stuck forever is because they spend so much time learning and are afraid to just begin.
For instance, learning how to run ads won't bring you any income unless you start running ads for your client.
You will learn on the job and through readings, courses, books, etc.
Afraid you will make mistakes?
Guess what...you most likely will. But you will learn from them too ๐ช
Start before you're ready.
At least by finding ways to get paid (even a small amount), will help create immediate feedback loop and keep you afloat and motivated.

4๏ธโฃ Don't be afraid to connect with new people.
The fastest way to get those ROI (in point number 3) is to connect with people.
The people I know in my network are the people who hire me.
Every piece of content and newsletter I publish is a way of reaching out to people who resonate with my work.
These people are my ideal audience - they're the ones who end up buying from me.
You can't monetize when nobody knows what you're doing. You have to put yourself out there if you want to build an online income.
Which brings me to the next point...
5๏ธโฃ Build your product early and ask for feedback.
The advice "share values first, before you sell" is valid, but don't use it as an excuse to delay selling forever.
Build a simple product early so you can start seeing that ROI.
Start selling before you feel confident. If you're afraid the product won't be good enough, ask for feedback!
To this day, I've had multiple content creators and coaches reach out to me to give feedback on their courses and ebooks before they launch, and I've done the same too!
Last but not least...
Learn to sell with words (aka copywriting).
Everything I shared here won't work if you don't know how to sell with words.
Copywriting isn't just for copywriters or marketers anymore.
It’s a foundational skill for anyone looking to build digital assets, writing online, attract ideal audience and earn online income.
I hope these tips are useful ๐ซถ
Personally, I really wish I had started building products way earlier, even before I felt ready and confident.
But it's never too late! I'm sharing this with you hoping that you can learn from my mistakes and reach your goals faster โก๏ธ
